Elchi OS Overview
What the Elchi OS edge appliance is, what it bundles, the image formats and platforms it runs on, sizing, and when to use it instead of installing the Elchi Client on a Linux host.
Installation
Download and verify the Elchi OS image, deploy it from ISO, OVA or qcow2, run the first-login setup wizard to register with the controller, or configure it unattended with setup.yaml, cloud-init or OVF properties.
Console Reference
The Elchi OS management console — show, set and apply, network changes with commit-confirm, firewall, system, config and import commands, logs, diagnostics and help, with exact syntax.
Upgrades
In-place Elchi OS upgrades with A/B root slots, a health-gated trial boot and automatic rollback; security updates; moving elchi-client or elchi-shield on its own with system component; and the upgrade order for HA pairs.
Security & Networking
The Elchi OS host firewall model, which ports are open and to whom, outbound requirements, SSH and account permissions, kernel settings, the CIS compliance check, metrics, and the support bundle.
Appliance Tab
The Appliance tab on an Elchi OS client's detail page in the Elchi UI — release and boot slots, health, upgrade state, firewall, network confirm, the CIS compliance check, and support bundle and configuration archive downloads.
